The union bosses in the culinary union in particular, but in many others that they want to pretend they're getting stuff for union members, when reality they kowtow to anything the business wants, the most toothless union contracts in most sugar plants and many other places they exist. It's among the reasons union decline has happened, the union bosses are terrible; the larger the union usually the worst, the smaller controlled the union the better.
