Bruce Johnson What's incredibly sad, what Bernie is for isn't even that extreme in the slightest. He'd be considered an Eisenhower republican in the 50's! Our country has gone so far extreme right wing, no fucking wonder our country is the laughing stock of the world, as well as returning to the robber baron backwater years. We're a country that is very much a powder keg ready to ignite. Similar to that of the coal wars of 1870s to 1930's. Possibly as bad as the civil war.

Tom Manfrede They keep ignoring these candidates at their peril. People already have stopped showing for midterm elections, dismal 37% turnout last elections is rather spooky. Because instead of using the system to get justice, they'll simply start to riot and hang the system. Disenfranchisement is at its highest levels since the robber baron years in the 1800's and early 1900's. During that period of time, we had civil war along with various battles with labor. The coal wars went on from 1870's to 1930's. These assholes should be warned they are only hoisting their own nooses around their neck and the tree.

capoman1 It is nasty. The freak show mainstream media forgets to realize when only 37% turnout for midterms, means people hate the coke and pepsi candidates. They're disenfranchised. They better expect someone like Sanders comes along, people will grab on tight, a people who 63% didn't even bother to turn out for the coke and pepsi candidates during the last midterm. And a big chunk of us in the 37% who did, who just held our noses and went to the polls anyways.

Mainstream media isn't delusional, they're just trying to influence the vote. They're heads are up the oligarchs asses just as mainstream and even recently right wing freak show politicians are. But I think they're in for a rude awakening. People are fed up. Sanders is likely to make a strong showing, possibly win. And should the media attempt to placate Sanders, or things turnout again toward the oligarch interest, we're just one more step closer to complete an utter revolt. The media and the status quo millionaires and billionaires are only drawing their own nooses around their necks.

What's spooky is we need congress back. Midterms cannot have participation rates of just 37%. Law requires two branches to function. Not only do we need Sanders to win, we need more congressional candidates to be elected with similar view points. The oligarchs didn't just purchase presidential candidates, but they started with purchasing the legislature first.
