@voidtempering8700 As a juror, I would still do whatever I could to let him off the hook on the other one. Manslaughter by defense and mental problem brought on by the their attack. Probation to ensure his mental sanity is restored and a metal declaring him hero. I haven't watched this movie... probably won't. Just this scene. So not sure what else is going on... just this portion. He had no idea these people would let him live 3 against 1 makes the firearm equal or lesser force. The chasing down the other and killing him was wrong. I don't think it constitutes as 2nd or 1st degree murder though. Innocent by reason of temporary insanity due to their attack on him. I would want probation and mental assistance to ensure his mental health is taken care of though... along with a ceremony standing my by him for defending himself (maybe that would help with his mental health). And I would prohibit him from carrying a fire arm until he's deemed fully mentally healthy though. Traumatic event. He may even be harm to himself feeling remorse as well as to others. But I would not give this person a felony conviction.

Yeah the two he immediately shoots... self defense in the US would stand. As juror I would approve. He had no idea if they'd beat him to death... 3 against 1 and they were repeatedly beating him potentially to death, this make a firearm at this point equal or lesser force. He was in the right. Going after the other in a manic panic I would probably dismiss with manslaughter probation only due to insanity. He shouldn't have done it, it was aggravated by their assault and had a mental condition. Or I would find another way out for him on that one too... he shouldn't have done that part though. The other two... he was well within his legal limits to defend himself.
