I've actually heard of this economist. He's the only economist I'm aware of who is able to actual perform useful predictions. All others generally are way off if they even try to make predictions, and most say that's not what economics is about... I tell them chemistry doesn't predict what you do when you combined various elements and compounds either.... wait a minute it does... it's called as science. Not some cult mythology.

@samtheman3741 But talk to anyone at work or family or friends: it's not working that much anymore. The elites are losing the control over narrative.

Neoliberal just means the same as republican. GOP = DNC essentially. Globalization isn't new, it's simply trade... trade that happened as far back as the silk road during various times of Ancient Greece, Persian Empire, Rome, and onward to the triangle trade of the 17th thru 20th century. Some of those trades were outright bad. Slave trade caused many revolts in Greece and Rome. I never understand why ethnic nationality with it's convoluted leaps in thinking seems to take precedence, when simple logic that bad laws that dictate economic conditions are by those who make the laws and pay for the law makers-- the "kings and king makers" so to speak. I think people like to complicate matters more? Or they feel so powerless, they have to make the situation seem hopeless? And no better way than to make up some convoluted conspiracy story involving various tribes and ethnicities?

Works better than the nonsense we have. Come to the US. You don't know corruption until then. By the way, the rumor of corruption among unions, is what destroyed workers from unionizing in the US. It was bogus, there wasn't much if any actual corruption in unions, much less than corporations and oligarchs of the world. It's propaganda to say unions are corrupt. Most unions are and were small, and corruption like money laundering or extortion sticks out like a sore thumb. And trials convict and its gets squashed fairly quickly.
