Generally, people understand socialism means mixed market capital-social markets. Not communism. No one likes communism, no private markets or property ownership. Socialism mix ensures demand side economics from workers who are also consumers get treated better which provides for a better market economy that all benefit from. Supply side economics with corporate crony capitalism only leads to a new form of feudalism, and in market economies (economies not agricultural based which essentially no developed country is) feudal or near feudal economic structures are always a stones throw away from collapsing into some bastardization of autocracy or civil unrest to the point of civil war.

That's it, we need to come up with another name to call people who don't agree with rationality--- here's some brainstorming ideas: "Oligarch toady" "Butler wanna be" "surf dick sucker" "slave wanna be" "banana republican" "tory" "bell boy" "boot licker" "brown noser" "stupid shit" "toady" "slave boy/girl" "serf boy/girl or just serf or slave." "royalist" "corporate cock sucker... crony" " hired thug" "mobsters" Any would work.

I consider the term communism as the absolute term of Marxism where personal property rights are minimal to non-existent, and competitive market principles don't really apply, as only production and services maybe run by the government (local or national) only. Socialism is just socializing capital markets; interventions in markets as well as having some government (local or national) run services and production. That's what most people think of when considering the term communism. China in particular is just trying to stretch the term to mean mixed market social-captialism which all developed countries and most underdeveloped countries utilize. Just like proright wingers who like social-security, medicare, various labor rights and rules, consumer protections, etc. want to stretch single capitalist markets to meaning some social markets. To be clear Social-Capital mixed markets literally mean some capitalism private property and private business and some community property and public business hence the rather self evident and clearly stated social-capital mixed market system. There is no ambiguity.
