  1. Our oligarchs essentially control everything, and with gerrymandering and a large percentage of those who do vote, and those who don't bother to vote ie our American citizens are morons. So we get what we get. A fucked up super power, that won't be over time just as every super power waxes and wanes, so will ours. But in short, our oligarchs who own the country won't, and our citizens are apathetic, moronic, and powerless.
