  1. John, just starving the beast doesn't stop our government from spending what they racket from us working stiffs. If they don't get the money from the rich, they'll get it from the working stiffs. And you brought up a good point. Why the fuck are we spending more than the next 7 countries combined on a bloated military? And why haven't we provided a universal healthcare system that would be cheaper than what we spend on the military? Fact is, the rich must pay their share of taxes as they presently don't. Their effective tax rates as most of these people take income from dividends and capital gains, range from 15% to 19% (first $418K is 15% and above is 20%) no payroll tax, no normal federal income tax, and many states don't levy taxes against capital gains or dividends.
