Let's face it, the reason why the US tends not to have that many protests, particularly messy ones that disturb the peace is that we're all afraid of each other... our murder and mass murder rates are off the charts. Therefore when we're out and about, we tend to go out of our way to be pleasant to one another. We walk on egg shells because we know the mass of people have been propagandized us to think of each other as left vs right and to hate each other. We know when hate gets to a certain level, would be a civilian blood bath, than give reason to activate more than just local swat teams, but the national guard as well as active duty troops. We all know we're a walking powder keg, and doing those protests means standing on the same powder keg when it blows up.
