  1. We're not a compassionate nation nor a philanthropic nation, we're a cut throat beggar mafia oligarchical nation. I work in utilities, a PRIVATE utility which is insane. But working there, we collect on occasion, and there's a few entities people have to go beg to pay off $1,000+ water bills because they had a leak. We're fucking opposite to compassionate. We're worse of poverty of every major developed nation. We're just a desperate country, hence why nutty religious cults prosper, they may help a few beggars so demonstrate to their donors their magic bread, when they don't really help that much; usually it's less than 10% on $1000 ridiculous bill.
