  2. We have waiting times for MRI's and particular PET scans (a more sophisticated device providing more detail). Rural areas, one must travel very far for one. Just as it is in Canada. The difference, many put off doing MRI scans due to the prohibitive cost; simply can't afford it. So they remain using less effective X-Ray and ultra sound machines instead as they're cheaper. So we get more expensive care at double the cost, and worse results. 'MERICA! I'm fucked yeah! I will say, I rather adopt something closer to the German model than Canadian. It covers essentially all medical from dental even orthodontist to vision and all Rx... all covered under one single payer system with very low copays and max annual copays. The tax is more pricier at about 7.8% compared to 5.x% in a Canada... but I think the extra 2% in premiums is worth it. And I'm rather healthy with no chronic conditions. I hate with a passion to gamble with my healthcare. In the US everything is a fucking ill conceived gamble. And like gambling, the house wins 90% time leaving you the loser, and only winning on rare 10% of the time.
