I don't understand whey people make stuff up. It's weird compulsion for conspiracy and fantasy or something. I can understand they learned something and their retention was faulty; I have done that, think everyone has. So its always good to check again if you haven't for a while.

Which is a vicious cycle, those making popular culture from cartoon makers to sitcom to movies misrepresent science. And they have a license to do it in the form of science fiction. Problem is, so much science fiction, the masses get them confused with actual science.

This is where you must be very specific. When asking such general questions you then have to narrow what they're asking. It's not uncommon when asked a question that's very general, to follow up with your own questions to narrow in on exactly what they mean. I think most people in the video just assumed he was talking about harmful or potentially harmful radiation or radiation they heard maybe harmful, but isn't. Hard to say though.

I think every nation with education do. Problem is, do people retain what they learned?

But radio waves are below the energy/frequency of microwaves. Inferred and visible light can cause heating damage at higher amplitudes too, in fact even more severe than microwaves; magnifying glass amplifying into a visible beam and cause heat to increase to the point of causing burning and flame. Microwaves are interestingly dangerous at high amplitudes as in microwave ovens. As their wavelengths go deep into structure causing heating internally of the material not just on the surface area of a material like inferred or visible light. Some mobile radar dishes usually for military work, have a dangerous internal heating effect. The danger range is relatively short, and they aim it in the sky. Microwaves only effect polar molecules though. Unfortunately, H2O and many other molecules that compose of living things have lots of polar molecules. Fortunately, communication satellites that are constantly beaming a signal on us from stationary orbits are at very low amplitudes not to cause heating, and usually at a frequency that water and other polar molecules aren't the most efficient for microwave heating.

Since he had UV specific already on the list, he just put sun as being just visible light. I think. But yes, UV from the sun does enter our atmosphere, and can cause skin tags and cancer.

I think he should have realized the audience of the mass of people, and lined that one out and put "visible light" to make sure he was clear.
