In fact, my idea is the closer you are to a target and actually would be vaporized faster than neural synapses can communicate with each other, you're in the safest place; because your misery won't even be noticed. On the other hand, remote places, your misery will be long felt both in terms of radiation contamination as well as food and other shortages, and if that wasn't bad, simply you would be back to the misery of living through 1600's with common strep throat becoming scarlet fever, TB/consumption coming out in force, and any other infection risking going septic, teeth loss alone reduces your chance of survival as abscessed tooth becomes a potential fatal illness; your life would be rough, ugly, and actually fortunately a bit shorter than 76-79 average, to about 56 to 34... possibly lower if you're lucky.

  2. The don't own the entire worlds money, they're just a money laundering nation with lots of oligarch and criminal money stored as foreign reserves. But in the event of mutually assured destruction, all money by governments today won't be worth anything anyway.

  4. The giant cities like New York, Atlanta, Chicago, etc. are a world unto themselves. Only the natives like the places as a home.

  5. Taken flight dispatch courses, a pilot, etc. I already knew the answer. Yet I still watched. Answer: It's too far for all civil aircraft... without in flight refueling.
