  1. I never understood that generation bashing article about avocado toast meaning us younger generation squander money. At least here in the west, avocados are as cheap as tomatoes or apples, when I was in high school working at Sizzler, and still Sizzler today they offer them on their all you can eat salad bar.... an entire avocado, not just a few slices on some toast. And as many as can shove down your face. Secondly, slices of avocado on toast? Never hear do of it. Salad, omelette, guacamole with chips or a burrito or enchilada, sure. Toast? Okay. Next they're going to say jam/jelly/preserve is the fault of us younger generation... our extravagant appetite for a PB&J for lunch and our toast with jam for breakfast is so damn expensive no wonder our savings sucks... its not because nominal wages are flat, and real wages (after inflation) are 50% less, rents and mortgages have become a monopoly tycoon board game well beyond sustainable 20% to 30% of take home pay so some get rich quick oligarchs and their puppet minions can reintroduce feudalism since they have already accomplished reintroducing the robber baron era.
