  1. My surname is so unique to the 1200's CE Hanover region that the root of the name can be inferred to an ancient Roman nobility family. From there it's anyone's guess to whether my dad's line (my surname) is direct lineage to the Roman family or more likely scenario: slaves of that family.... or both. The ancient Roman nobility family's claim to fame: Roman elected Consul and General of the army that sacked Corinth. Later in his life he served as Censor. His offspring became governors of the province Batavia modern day Netherlands.
