An uncle of mine who converted to Mormon openly posted stuff on Facebook about planet Kolob. I was a member when a child, inactive and now just agnostic atheist. Pearl of Great Price book that contains all the really nutty stuff was not really discussed when I was in there. Thought, well, they found the fun in their religion... good for them. I just hope it stays fun, and not become lunatic Heaven's Gate. (Which I doubt it ever would, Mormonism is as exciting as Catholicism or watching paint dry) and yes (with more than half my extended family Mormon and the other quarter Catholic, and have painted stuff, I have participated in all three, so I speak from experience.... I don't expect anything too harmful loony coming from it. Just interesting a member is so open to talk about the magical planet... they always kept such things, secret. Or as they would say: sacred.

Both worse, a space fairing JHW and timeshares and door to door salesman; all ET's would hide and turn out the lights. Well, I think you've stumbled on yet another solution to the Fermi Paradox.

Don't they just have to bless them and their space ship and stuff? We have a Rabbi come in every year to our bottling soda pop plant, who blesses all our stuff to make it Kosher... I think that's what that's about.

Infinite regression of gods begetting gods... and you too can have your planetary systems to reign as god over. Essentially. Pearl of Great Price. It's the lunatic fringe part of Mormonism. Joseph Smith declared that on the Moon lived a peoples who were very similar to the Quakers here on earth. https://media.ldscdn.org/pdf/lds-scriptures/the-pearl-of-great-price/the-pearl-of-great-price-eng.pdf

No, we would be assimilated. As you know too well, resistance would be futile.
