A nation that split off from a monarchy with the fundamental national religion to one that is secular. All of our literature and governing backdrop is British. Even, now your nation's, once our nation's too, civil war that ended in a Republic of a while, instead of going secular went hardcore religious nuttery under Cromwell, in fact in part the house of lords and commons brought back the monarchy to tone down the protestant religious fanaticism; under Cromwell's government dancing and music, theater, and various other religions were illegal. It's our heritage from our mother country that has made us a basket case as far as religion goes.
