Anglo Saxon is old English (I think) that looked like old English. Frisian... it wasn't even Old English. It was a muddle mess. Neither English or German nor Dutch for that matter.

Friesisch... is that even German anymore? I think Dutch has more similarity to German. Dutch: Ik ga nu naar de bakker om wat broodjes te kopen. Ik ben zo terug! At the very least, I have never studied Dutch formally or even informally for that matter, but I could make the Dutch out more than that Friesisch. Of course Dutch is the middle form between German and English so Dutch grammar helps my English native speaking abilities... I want to put "to" with "buy" in German (zu kaufen). Dutch apparently does this with te kopen. German would need to paraphrase "in order to buy" with um and then zu kaufen would be okay. Friesisch though... ik gean no nei Bakker guon Bole kaepe, Ik binm daliks wer der... To me looks like: I go no never to the baker, you go on (something, perhaps you go instead?), I am there licking (remaining here) who the...(last part maybe meaning: I'll remain here licking my lips?). LOL!

@reminder9146 I somewhat ignored it, thinking that nobody actually speaks that as I was thinking, wait: That's old English. And nobody speaks that. But he has a small map where they might still today... but I doubt it.... will have to look that up. At the very least, Anglo Saxon one I could make out better than Freisisch/ Frisian: that one was not old English nor German... not even Dutch could compare. Frisian just seems confused. Poor Frisian.
