It's so shitty some businesses actually do offer more time off when you're sick, and even pay some sick time. Get better in 12 weeks or no more job! And then you pay the COBRA price for insurance, so if you bought long term disability insurance 66% of take home pay, most of it will go to paying your insurance premiums you cancer patient. This is why single payer system is a must. Our current system is as archaic as child labor and not having compulsory education for the young not having fire departments, and due to our insane system everyone avoids using ambulances as much as possible, so we might as well say we don't have as a nation so called super power don't even have ambulance service.
