  1. Mr Slave... please become science literate. Then you would understand he busted all notions of the HBO special's hype. Nuclear power plants can't cause a nuclear explosion. They explode only because of water under pressure that exceeds its pressure limits if temperatures aren't controlled in the reactor. And its a water pressure explosion. Not a nuclear one. Making a nuclear bomb that induces a chain reaction requires highly enriched uranium or plutonium arranged in a special manner with neutron bombardment, and for thermal nuclear, arranged around fussion-able material that compresses to high enough temperature to than induce a hydrogen fusion chain reaction. Power plants are not designed in anyway to cause a nuclear explosion. Sadly, there were designs of thorium solid state fast breeder reactors that used liquid thorium salt reactors that didn't require the core to be under any pressure at all. Thus no chance of such a pressure explosion. But the pressurized slow breeder reactors enriched uranium into plutonium, making a component for bomb making. :( Something nations liked... make electricity and nuclear bomb making material.
