  1. Abrahamic religions make no sense at all to most of reality... one god? Do humans reproduce asexually? And are there only one type of species in the world? And are we all that powerful, can't we at times be preyed upon by other predators? Even herbivores like hippos are very dangerous to people; killing one of the Egyptian kings in the first kingdom. So to think one magical being, in a world where we have large individuals in tribes, liters, broods, lots of species, cyclical cycles of the moon, day and night, seasons, etc. Seasons you see a rebirth from the dead winter, to rebirth of spring, life of summer, and the dying of autumn, in a cycle that repeats. Abrahamic religions are very anti-earth denial of observations of our reality. Hence why Abrahamic religions are the odd balls of all various religions throughout the world. I'm skeptical of all "spiritual" ideas. Find them entertaining anyways. Thoughts about reincarnation is likely as old as human self awareness. Seriously, based on observation of reality, the inference about reincarnation is only logical. The mumbo jumbo of Abrahamic religions that generally fly in the face of observation are more of an illogical mental gymnastics head banger; a very difficult inference.

  3. Or we're living single in our 30's and don't have any time. At least, that's my problem. Good news, there are delis and farmer markets... you can learn to buy the good stuff. Makes me mad, others are learning because prices on the "good stuff" has gone up. :( But good, because people are eating healthier.

  4. You all shop poorly... most grocery stores carry many types of tomatoes. Some are by species juicier than others. And you can find some good tomatoes. You can also grow your own various tomatoes even in small pots if you rent or live in an apartment. But I do live in Idaho close to farming regions of our own state and surrounding area including California and Mexico. So... maybe it's blander there. I think their big emphasis is the processed foods: boxed baked goods and poorly constructed tv dinners, and some canned goods. Read the ingredients lists. Avoid any high fructose corn syrup. Poison.

  5. I don't believe this nonsense. I just came for the cool re-enactments to be spooked for fun. But this was just crap. BOOOO! (throws my popcorn at the screen). We know that ghosts are phony bullshit for people afraid about death or are idiots about bumps in the night or have delusions or little kids who have day/night terrors due to various pathology as well as normal human brain development. Give us some fantasy!!! Put some good ol' fashion spooky re-enactments. Or give up.

  8. To be fair, invention of splitting triple bond of nitrogen to produce nitrate fertilizers which is the same nitrates produces naturally via lightening is helpful. We would have already had severe famines in nations we consider wealthy, millions living with worse diseases and dying of simple diseases, worse economic situation overall due to the domino effect, and probably a few more wars between such nations than we have now. The taste of your veggies come down to the species and when you pick them... some things picked too early will taste bland, and some things picked to late will taste bland even though they're huge... like strawberries. Most fertilizers are used on crops that really consume nitrates like corn and soybeans, most veggies and fruits are not that fertilized with much nitrates at all... you can accidentally change the pH and make such fruits and veggies not grow... and killing orchards of cherries, pears, apples, etc. can ruin a farmer for half a decade or longer... so they tend to fertilize those with the local compost material (leaves, cow and horse dung).

  9. It's even worse... last presidential election turn out was 55%.... usually it's 60ish% which isn't good either. Usually mid terms that elect senators and representatives as well as state legislatures and ratifying various other proposed state or local laws 37%... because people dislike Trump it was 49%.... a whole 3% more turnout nationwide. And local odd scheduled elections for mayor or other seats or on levy bonds typically in the single digit percentage... one in my county was attempting to float a bond for $186 million to build a county jail, not a prison, a jail. It would have raised property taxes even more meaning rents and house taxes would have went up and due to the re-inflated housing bubble property taxes are already grown huge causing rents to increase 4 times faster than wages. So 15% participated... 66% including myself voted against the bond. And typical range total of primary elections between the RNC and DNC only 14% to 28% participate. Yeah, our democracy is a shambles. People don't believe in it as they don't participate in it. It's sad.
