  2. Mass immigration currently is out of bounds. For example in Germany and Switzerland the infrastructure is stretchend beyond capacity, to the detriment of everyone who needs to work for a living. Housing, health and food prices have risen by 20 - 30% over the past 15 years, while wages have stagnated. It doesn't take a genius to recognize that's a problem. That's what's driving much of the sentiment against immigration - if the locals can hardly afford life, while illegal immigrants are just taken care of by the state. It doesn't even matter whether that's true in general, it is sufficient that it is true in a few dozen particular cases. In conclusion there needs to be a break, slowing down and giving priority to deliberate immigration rules instead of "whoever makes it". The failure to acknowledge these problems by governments and political parties, until recently, provides the soil on which the new far right movement has grown. I fear it may already be too late to stop it, but we must do all we can to get back to civility.

  4. Well according to Sam Harris, there is no free will, hence all we can do is wait for the inevitable to happen (whatever that may be). Jokes aside, obviously we have free will and we must stop this madness.
