Let me guess: customers will get a free Perplexity account to replace their analyst. 😂

LOL stopping execs from taking private jets is of course going to impact the climate big time. The climate will immediately go like "wow they are serious about this!" C'mom who are they kidding??

Too many 'mays'

2035 is 16 years out. 16 years back was 2003. In 2003 noone knew about iPhones, Facebook, Twitter, Uber, Airbnb, many more. Google was just taking off. Privacy concerns were a matter of weird nerds. Self driving cars were seen as a vision that will be quite impossible for decades to come (at least to the larger public). The financial crisis did not look to happen. War was declared a thing of the past. BTC was unheard of yet. I owned lots of technology that is useless/not working anymore today. My point being, lots can happen in 16 years. Including a today's HW wallet becoming inaccessible - in other words I would not trust it. Nor BTC. But hey, kudos and best wishes!

Remote vs in-office: it's obvious that productivity is higher with remote work. Just think reduced cost/time for commuting, office space etc

His perception in my opinion does not reflect public opinion in Switzerland, nor clients, nor employees. I think that should ring many alarm bells.

So managers go to forums like this. Me wonders if that means its very valuable to their companies, or rather if they have time to spare because they are not really adding value and so everyone is glad they are out of the house 😁 I'm not talking Gates obviously it would be valuable to him & efficient in terms of meeting people. All the rest though? knowing a few of them I have a hunch

A COO interacts with engineers? Yeah sure

The dude was literally playing games during investor calls and that's what made them think he must be a genius. LOLZ

Switzerland has no official position on Libra. Anyone can open an association as long as it is within the law. Certainly Swiss banks won't be happy about Libra, nor will the SNB. Reporting to the contrary is Fake News.

@zaloremi5805 indeed, as indicated by the words 'in my opinion' and 'I think' 😀 but thanks for highlighting

If Europe is invaded none of the other priorities matter. This is very short sighted.

Whatever the rules and oversight, no bank can survive a bank run.

@cheickismael8595 I'm a stockholder, mind you.

The government is not like Twitter. Like not at all

The first question was totally lost in the moderator's monologue

"we never read the fine print some can act surprised and blame someone else"

he basically says govt should keep paying risky behavior by investors. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

This is the man who said remote work is not acceptable. Just saying

@cheickismael8595 have you noticed the stock price since Thiam took office? See, he doesn't deliver. Says the markets.

@drissabamba550 oh so you know the guy? Tell him it's time to leave

The table Musk presented is fake.

That's not very credible. How come the COO could resign? He should have been fired, immediately.

Well, perhaps. But risk was not actually the issue this time! SVB did not engage in high risk assets, rather it invested in the most secure there is, namely US Treasury bonds.

@josephlopez5404 general aviation, including privare jets, accounts for 0.2% of human CO2 emissions. Banning private jets wil not even dent the gauge. The whole discussion is driven by envy alone, without regard for actual effect. It will not save the climate (nothing that humans do will but of course that's another discussion). https://www.terrapass.com/sustainability-35000-feet-business-aviation-climate-change

You don't know what you wish for. Some have said Janis is a left wing anarchist.

It's laughable to claim this is an app issue. It's a policy and enforcement issue. Blaiming it on the app is aking to "computer says no"

Musks motto for efficiency is "strip away everything that is not obviously needed - if you don't have to add something back later, you did not cut aggressively enough". Thar's great for a private business, perhaps not so much for government.

@aizseeker3622 stopping all spend is hardly a solution to this particular problem.
