The analysis by Cummings, and other tech believers, of the current way the UK state is run may be right, and there must be reform, there might even be a need for tearing down some parts of the existing system. However, brilliance in analysis, nor insight into how it could be done, or other innovative ideas, non of that gives these people the right to decide how it should be run without or outside the democratic process. That's exactly where their ideas become dangerously close to how facism developed - "the existing system is broken and must go, the people who are against this must go, we are the only ones who can do this, get out of our way or we will remove you".

  7. So attacking Ukraine is not an act of escalation? After all this war has started in 2014, not 2022, and the strategy has always been to appease. It didn't work, obviously.The only reason Ukraine has not defeated Russia is due to a lack of support, not too much. Despite this, Russia has not stopped but escalated several times to an ever unmatched level by now. By Mersheimer's logic, the war should have ended by now.

  9.  @ldm3027  i am talking about total cost, not just production cost. Total cost includes all cost, e.g. storage and conventional production plants needed for when remewables are not producing output (electricity).
