  10. This is not about east vs west Germany. Peter is completely off here. This is about neither parties of the past 20 years having addressed any of the pressing issues, despite having more money than ever before, taxes are soaring and eating away companies' ability to invest. Issues are bad schools (lacking in teachers, appropriate housing, equipment, money), failing infrastructure across the whole country (e.g. bridges, streets, public transport, energy system), and last not least completely off the rails immigration where local governments & communities are literally stretched beyond max capacity all the while the bundes politicians give out "all is well, keep it up" messaging.
