Lots of factors contributed to this desperate situation. Long civil war, corruption, cronyism, nepotism, poor management wastage of resources etc

  7. ​ @neway518  Very funny. Our government is the only affected country that rejected IMF help back in 1997 Asian financial crisis. Their humiliating conditions would have made it worst for the country. Instead our govt went for a fixed rate peg of our currency against the US dollar. It worked and the country was not beholden to IMF.
