  1. The largest community of Cantonese speakers in Malaysia is in the city of Ipoh. There is no school where it is taught. Only Mandarin classes are available. Our parents are our teachers. We speak at home, among our family members and friends. Its passed on from generation to generation. That's why it is kept alive and still widely spoken. When it cones to our schools and workplace, Bahasa Melayu and English take precedence.
