Wishful thinking. First try to make an iPhone that's as good as they do in China and India. Then if you manage to do that, see how much Apple will charge your made in America.

@steveforbes8287 Delusional. You should check out the latest news release by your pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. They just announced having signed a deal with Chinese biopharma research company 3 SBio to manufacture under license their cancer drug to treat colorectal cancer and gynecological tumors. Pfizer will make this drug available for sale in the US and global market. This deal is worth USD 4.8 billion to the Chinese company. So you see, China has already long moved on from cheap toys and shoes to far more valued added products like this cancer drug. You may not know this, but Americans have been relying on Chicom medication to save their lives. This is just one drug. There are many more of such deals between your big pharma giants and China biopharna companies that are worth billions of dollars. You should take some time to do research on how dependent US pharma companies are on Chinese biopharma companies research and innovation in the pharmaceutical field. If you still think China is all about toys and shoes then you will be in for a big shock. Trump tariffs are not going to matter one bit when it comes to life saving drugs. You are probably already taking some of these Chinese patented medications without realizing it. So be informed and not watch too much Fox News and remain ignorant.

Well it's not as simple as Rock and Roll. There are manyvreadins why your iphones are made in China and India. Not in the US. Tim Cook explained why in one of his interview. You should check it out. Hoping to bring back manufacturing is simple enough. But as the saying goes, the devil is in the details. I am afraid it's too late for that. The boat had already sailed on a long time ago. US should instead focus on what they do best. Like making high tech weapons, instead of mundane products like electronic gadgets and household goods. The US economy is largely driven by a production and sale of services like finance or IT related, rather than production of goods. Maybe you should stick to that and leave manufacturing to lower cost countries.
