Christmas day last year, the Chinese showcase two 6th gen fighter jets as Christmas presents. This Chinese New Year 2025 they gave the world DeepSeek.

@danielhamilton351 Peace us breaking out in the Middle East. Sure it will hurt your MIC business plans.
2
There are many China experts beside him. But all of them have never stepped foot in China nor speak the language. At least this expert is half Chinese and has actually been to China. Not sure if he could speak Chinese though.
2
Which is why most manufacturing jobs are not coming back.
2
haha. Sure
2
He already told them don't. What more do you want from him.
2
Whete I am from, gasoline cars combust on a regular basis. I have yet to see one ev do that.
2
They asked for it ,inviting this China expert back time and again.
2
There are alternatives to Ndivia chips. They are not the only game in town.
2
No one remembers a long forgotten and no longer relevant piece of paper. Why should US be rattled when they did nothing to help Peru.
2
They just met President Xi at the annual China Development Forum. To cement closer business ties and cooperation.

@sethwatkins5586 Their drones and robots are definitely better. Both the Ukrainians and Russians are using the Chinese DJI drones rather than American made ones. DJI controls 70% of the US drone market. Chinese Unitree robots have far surpassed BD. Next will be AI where US still has the edge.
1
@Dan-sc7us Well you already got a good head start with Tesla in California and Texas. Washington already imposed 100 % tariff on the Chinese evs. Whats stopping you from dominating your own ev market?
1
It's no 1 in free downloads in Apple Store and the most downloaded productivity app in Google Play Store.
1
Of course they are. They lead everyone else in producing renewable energy by a wide margin. Will take some time before they can replace all their coal fiired plants. They are also making affordable evs.
1
Unfortunately most Americans think all asians come from China. My Filipino relatives have to endure racial abuses during the lockdown.
1
Not forgetting their AI weather balloons.
1
Which key areas you are referring to that you think India can step in and replace China?
1
You can start by asking Tim Cook. He just visited China hoping to regain lost market share and reassure the Chinese he's not moving his production anywhere. That would probably mean more investments in China.
1
Or it could just be a weather balloon. We will know soon if all this mass hysteria is justified
1
What does this means? Hillbilly English?
1
Yup. They stole your IP and made it better. And then gave it away for free for the benefit of humanity. So please thank them.
1
Higher quality made evs use Chinese batteries. Like Tesla.
1
How can they become efficient and reliable unless you start making and adopting them on a large scale. Gradual improvements over period of time. Like you did with your gasoline cars.
1
You should check out this story about a mother in Australia whose son is a kidney failure patient and requires frequent dialysis treatments. Apparently there was a prolonged blackout in her area and she was not able to power up the dialysis machine. Fortunately she drives a Chinese ev BYD Atto 3. She managed to hook the machine to the ev battery and got the machine working, saving her son's life.

@busterscruggs3031 Keeping other countries safe? Which country did they invade and destroyed? Most of their neighbors barring one, have them as their largest trading partner. Including their forever enemy, India. Many are also part of the BRI. Vietnam and Thailand are already going ahead with their plans to connect their railway network with that of China. Laos is the first to do that. China has also just signed the agreement with neighboring Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, where they will jointly build a railway line connect all three countries. All these done in the name of increasing trade volumes and expanding business ties. No talk of building military bases.
1
@dixonpinfold2582 Attack ? Why would China do that? Disagreements yes. They all have trading ties with one another. Yes even Phillippines. China is their third largest trading partner, after US and Japan. China is Vietnam's largest trading partner who is also part of their BRI. China is also the largest trading partner of Japan who in turn is the second largest trading partner of China. So with so much trading going on and money to make, why attack their business partners? Doesn't make sense at all. It will only benefit Washington.
1
@busterscruggs3031 Safe from China? Most of China's neighbors have them as their largest trading partner. They all look to China for investments and access to their huge market. Both Vietnam and Thailand are already planning to connect their railways to link with the Chinese one at their northern borders. All of Asean except for Phillippines are part of BRI. China is the biggest trading of Japan as well. A staunch US ally. Imagine that.
1
I doubt that would happen. You think Chinese is an easy language to learn? Just ask any one you know that is trying to.
1
It sounds like a new Jack Reacher movie.
1
@pacman407 He's not wrong. Washington reason was to topple the Taliban regime. They claimed the Taliban was sheltering Al-Qaeda and giving them a safe base for their operations. This was proven wrong as Bin Ladin was hiding in Pakistan. Taliban had nothing to do with him. Also they and alQaeda are actually ideological enemies. Even today they are still suffering from occasional terrorist attacks from both alQaeda and ISIS.

384k acres is actually miniscule. China is not even in the top ten list of foreigners owning land in US. Out of the 384k, about 160k acres are actually farmland owned by Smithsfield Inc, a Chinese owned pork and food producer based in Virginia. They export mostly back to China.
1
Do you want an affordable iPhone?
1
Settle in first then bring the family. Sounds very sensible to me.
1
Maybe try lifting your sanctions and see if the economic situation improves sufficiently there to dissuade ppl from fleeing to your border.
1
While you are at it, design a new badass typewriter as well. So you don't have to use Chinese made laptops.
1
Someone has to buy your worthless treasury bonds. She's there for this purpose.
1
What rubbish! These clowns.
1
He doesn't know what's he's talking. He's just telling people like you what you want to hear. China has been collapsing or doomed since 2001. That's what his best seller book says.
1
You should ensure its sufficiently charged before you drive. You know the battery range and how far you are going . Not complicating.
1
Too dangerous, but no problem selling abroad. Do you know why? They are dangerous because if they come in, your auto industry could be destroyed. The 100% tariff is to prevent this from happening. If you are unable to compete then you need protection.
1
Nobody wants cheap Detriot made junk outside the US. Washington knows how bad they are, compared with the Chinese evs. Imposing 100% tariff is the only weapon they have, to protect Detriot from getting demolished by cheaper and better built Chinese imports.
1
But you wouldn't mind foreign ownership of your Treasury bonds. China is the second largest holder of your bonds.
1
Like what lies?
1
@LionKing1874 Yup. They stole Chatgpt stolen data.
1
Millions have already downloaded from Apple and Google Store. Why don't you do too and see if its just hype
1
@kipmcewen949 Don't put too much hope on them to replace China.
1
Imposing sanctions also a form of human abuse on those ppl whose only fault is being born in the wrong country
1
Then you won't be buying much. Thats actually great.
1
@Thunderrolls87 Union auto workers are overpaid for the quality of cars they assembled.
