@whatsnew-b8v Meanwhile, aircraft carrier USS Truman collided with a cargo ship in Egypt in broad daylight.
1
@jzak5723 Really? All they have to do is send a couple of their 50 dollar weather balloons over Alaska and you will see Pentagon going on full panic mode.
1
Then the alternative is a Chinese phone. Sure about this?
1
There is also child labour in your meat processing plants in the midwest.
1
Bruh. Countries trading with China don't settle their accounts with physical bank notes like the drug cartels do.
1
Pl dont forget Catalan as well.
1
@kittycat.6767 Willing seller willing buyer. Just like any other country.
1
They may not own farmland but American corporations own plenty of real estate in China. You can fact check this.
1
@TheCopilot9 Usually will be extended upon expiry. So it can be handed down to the next generation. We also have many such leasehold properties here that have leases upto 99 years. So it will probably outlive the owner.
1
Not just evs. Any think that requires semi conductor chips.
1
@chriscunnane6596 most of their factories are Chinese owned. So how?
1
China is the biggest buyer of Aussie wine, seafood, coal and iron ore. Can't be just one way trade. China made them rich.
1
They can be persuaded to switch sides. Just show them the money. Otherwise it's just more bs. She will wasting her time coming here. Might as well deal with the southern border situation instead.
1
He's anything but legit.
1
Even Uncle Sam font recognise
1
@chriscunnane6596 They are probably made in chinese owned factories. Most factories in Vietnam are.
1
Millions have already downloaded from Apple and Google Play Store. No 1 in free downloads in both stores. If you cant beat them , join them
1
The Chinese are very obliging people.Grandma flew all the way and as a gracious host China will extend the usual warm welcome and listening ear.
1
They are giving it away for free. That's why
1
No you are not. Stop this nonsense.
1
No. Lower priced but better quality than anything American auto makers can come up with. Biden knows without imposing 100% tariff on Chinese evs, your auto industry will be in jeopardy. He knows the competitor has a better and cheaper product. He can't let the market decide. The existing tariff on 27.5% is too low to offer enough protection from foreign competition.
1
Wrong. Lower priced but better built. Without your 100% tariff just imposed on Chinese evs, your auto industry could be in for a hard time. You are in need of protection when the competition delivers better and more affordable products than you.
1
How do you know how much Chinese workers make or what are their benefits? You lived and worked in China before? Do you know what's the cost of living there or their social benefits given by the government like healthcare and education? Or are you just an echo chamber for your MSM?
1
@audreycasassa1683 You should start by asking Tim Cook when he's moving his production from China, India and Vietnam back to the US. His answer will tell you why manufacturing jobs are not coming home.
1
Whose gonna buy your pricey weapons then.
1
So why is EU so concerned about them coming into Europe. No one will buy junk. Just let them in. No need to impose more tariffs. Ignore Elon Musk warning about their evs.
1
You may not need their cheese but I know Americans love visiting Paris more than anywhere else. The city of love.
1
You mean they will just sit on their hands and let you do whatever you like? And do nothing? Their hypersonic missiles can go round the world with Mach 5 speed.
1
@gyutae31 True. Australia is also resource rich. But they can't even make their own cars.
1
Washington drove China closer to Russia. Constantly provoking China with their national security drivel, blacklisting, sanctions, rallying their allies to gang up against China. No letting up of threats. Expecting China to tow the line like their vassal states Japan and SKorea.
1
Wont happen. Not easy to learn . Chinese is difficult.
1
Guantanamo is not on American soil but they have no problem holding on to it. Diego Garcia was leased to them for their naval base by the Brits. Despite knowing how the native people were forcibly removed by the colonizers to make way for their base.
1
You can do that. But your rebranded app wont be the same without that secret sauce that makes Tik Tok so unique and addictive to American users. Why do you think all these tech giants are falling over each other, offering insane amount of money to the Chinese owner.
1
Why not. War is big business for IMC.
1
Share your idea with Tim Cook and see his response. He just came back from his third visit to China this year.
1
I think they gifted you the Statue of Liberty. A must see attraction in NY generating billions in tourist dollars for the local economy. Shld thank them instead of bashing.
1
@sarahpettyYTSUX You can fact check this in a Walmart outlet. Obviously not everything but pretty sure will be quite substantial. But I could be wrong since there is no Walmart where I come from.
1
So you think it is easy to learn for the average American? Have you seen how Chinese is written. It's a system of ideogrammatic characters. About twenty thousand and you need to know at least eight thousand to be called educated. No abc
1
@JonnyD-gl7cn Asean is now the biggest customer of China.
1
Yeah. Be prepared to pay more
1
Firstly it will never calm down in the Middle East. If it does, there is Taiwan and Ukraine to worry about. Washington is too busy.
1
@DramaHeart Of course. That's why they buy Chinese. Sure you can make it as cheap as well at home. Provided Americans are willing to work for 5 dollar or less hourly rate. Not forgetting all the components that go inside your home made phone have to be sourced locally. These suppliers must also make and sell them as cheap as China. In fact the whole supply chain shifted from China must adopt Chinese pricing, to make the ultimate product affordable to your consumers as before .
1
He and Xi are good pals.
1
Not exactly. You still have your overpriced high tech weapons for export. But some of your main customers like Saudi Arabia is finally waking up. Signing a normalization agreement with Iran is the first of this. Less conflicts mean less need for your expensive exports. Peace is not good business for your IMC.
1
@legpol I think the feeling is mutual. Not one sided hatred.
1
@KittyKittyCat-vf8zd So get it started immediately. Get the ball rolling by "forcing" Tim Cook to bring all his Apple production back home. That would be a great first step.
1
@protorhinocerator142 You also won't find homeless tent cities over there as well.
1
@johncamp-sk4ys Oh dear. Didn't know the level of ignorance is that bad. Considering it's the richest country in the world with all your leading ivy league universities. Just like your new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth didn't know what is or who's in Asean but wants to talk to them.
1
Iran is in its place. US and UK should do the same
1
Very true. We asians are pragmatic. Territorial issues in the South China Sea don't get in the way of normal economic ties. China is the largest trading partner with most Asian countries. If you look at the 2022 bilateral trade volume between India and China you might be shocked how lopsided it is. Despite their longstanding and aggressive border disputes.
