  3. I am puzzled about this as well. It reminds me of a similar case in Philippines couple of years ago. The army guy was fired but get to keep his m16. In retaliation, he held a tourist bus hostage and killed 8 Hong-Kong tourists when the swat team tried to rescue them. No one in the army told him to surrender his weapon for whatever reason. . Probably the same for this Thai cop.
