  1. Makes no economic sense at all. China is the biggest buyer of advanced chips. If you don't sell to the biggest customer, who's going to lose. Necessity is the mother of invention. Given time China will eventually make their own. Nvidia is sweating right now as they see Huawei making progress in developing their chips to match the performance of Nvidia's best.
