Since many Chinese are already there, why need to invade? China has plenty of water in the south. Haven't you heard of the current floods and typhoons hitting them? There are many lessons learned from the Ukraine invasion. The most important is not to write off and mess with Russia.

@TheSwedishHistorian What is this nonsense about building cities in Bhutan? It's too small a country to have multiple cities. Tibet is part of China. Just like Hawaii or Guam is part of US. Even though both are thousands of km away from the US mainland.

Like you said. It's frictional. China never said that.

@tigerpjm Guantanamo is in Cuba and yet its American territory. Similarly they just build a huge naval base in Diego Garcia without the natives consent. Leased it from the Coloniser and close buddy, the Brits and made it their own. Meanwhile the native Chargos ppl are fighting their eviction and return of their homeland at the British Parliament for years now without success.

Why would China want to invade their neighbor, knowing full well it would only benefit US and their western allies. They have a nice arrangement now with Russia. Almost complete monopoly of the Russian market and easy access to their natural resources. Why squander this and get involved on a long and costly war. China has learned from the Ukraine incursion to know better.

No its not. No reason to do that as it will only benefit US and Nato. China has a nice arrangement right now with Russia. Full and unchallenged access to monopolize their market with Chinese goods. In return for Russian natural resources like oil and gas and food

Why in the world would they want to invade? They would have learned from the Ukraine incursion. Washington is their main concern, not Moscow. They have a good thing going now with almost full monopoly of the Russian market. Why mess it up with a long and costly war that only benefits US and Western allies. Common enemies common interests.

@sampicano Neither can US. Thousands are still pouring in, in the south.

@hominmundus If you look at the thousands of illegals gate crashing their southern border right now, very few are Mexicans.

Unless China suddenly loses its senses, this is not even a remote possibility. China has a pretty neat arrangement now, having unchallenged access to the Russian market while getting their natural resources in return. Why mess this up by imbolving in a long and costly war that only benefits both their common enemies, US and Nato. They have would learned from Ukraine incursion.

Like you said it's frictional. End of story.

So what's is this got to do with Russia. Unless for some reason, China suddenly become a complete idiot, would they even think of invading. Why would they get themselves involved in a long and costly war just to benefit US and Nato. They would have learned many valuable lessons from Ukraine incursion. The most important one is never mess around with the bear.
