  2. US had provided USD30 billion in development aid to Egypt over the past 4 decades. There is also an additional USD1.4 billion in military aid annually. It's gonna be very hard for them to say no to their sponsor.

  3. Because they can. The only one who can turn their back is China. And that too have to deal with the fallout/impact. Like the ban from acquiring high end chips.
