  1. China completed and just handed over our High Speed Rail link from Jakarta to Bandung. Indonesia is the first Asean country to have this high tech transportation, before United States. Cant wait to try ny first trip to Bandung. On behalf of all Indonesians , a big thank you to all the Chinese engineers who make this possible.

  2. Getting from my home in Jakarta to Bandung used to take more than 3 hours on traffic congested roads. Now its a comfortable and stress free 40 minutes journey. For someone who drives often to Bandung , it sure makes a lot of sense. Indonesia needs this and if possible, extend the line all the way to Surabaya. Another very populated city of 2.3 million in our island of Java. Since you are not Indonesian, you may not understand our frustration with our daily commuting struggles. Java island itself has 152 million people cramped within an area size of 128000 km. Imagine the moving the masses around. So much of lost productivity and increase in polluting emissions due to traffic snarls all over our island. You may not be aware that our capital Jakarta is one of the most polluted city in the world. Yes this high speed rail is most needed.
