China economy has been failing since the nineties. According to China experts.

Ask Elon Musk and he will tell you otherwise. Why do you think EU and US rushed to impose upto 100% tariff to protect their own from better built and more affordable Chinese evs. If they are poorly like you said, one will buy them. No need high tariffs. Let the market decides. Unless both of them know that they cannot compete with the Chinese imports.

Lack of quality? You must be serious. Ask the guru of evs Elon Musk what he thinks of Chinese evs. He laughed at BYD some years back. He's not laughing anymore. Byd is now breathing down his neck. He's already warned all non Chinese automakers to protect themselves with trade barriers or face annihilation from the Chinese.

Byd is the best selling ev brand here in Asean. I can see why US and EU are in such a hurry to impose high tariffs on these Chinese evs. Elon Musk already warned all non Chinese automakers out there to protect themselves with trade barriers or get demolished by the Chinese.

No I don't. Nio got a cash injection of 2.3 billion dollars from the Abu Dhabi government in Dec 2023. Going bankrupt my arse.

CCP don't build cars. Byd, Nio and the rest do. The guru of evs Elon Musk already issued his warning to all non Chinese automakers out there. To protect themselves with trade barriers or face the Chinese demolition squad. He should know what's he is talking about. He made a grave mistake of laughing at BYD some years ago. He's not laughing anymore today.

@wigwam3270 You may not know this. Nio recd a cash injection of 2.2 billion dollars from the Abu Dhabi government in Dec 2023. Bankruptcy? You must be referring to Chrysler. Stellantis has been trying to dump the brand the first chance they get. Their 100k dollars Dodge and RAM pick ups are not selling anymore like they used to. American buyers finally realized they have been suckered into buying overpriced gas guzzlers with yesterday's tech. All in the name of made in America. Biden is not letting them off by imposing 100% tariff on more affordable and better built tech rich Chinese evs.

Like what they are doing in Detriot. Stellantis is trying to dump Chrysler. Their pricey 100k dollar Dodge and RAM pick up trucks are not selling and piling up in their dealerships.

You mean you still thonk they are communist? You are slow. They are more capitalist than some capitalist countries.

@Retdf-e8s That describes a lot corporations and governments around the world.
1
@antonyloc The only correct is Bring your dollars. Whether you like them or not, the Chinese evs are gonna dominate the market along with Tesla. They already have in Asean, South America and coming on strong Down Under. I have not even heard of BYD until theirvevs started appearing on our roads less than 2 years ago. Imagine 5 years from now. High tariffs in EU and US can only hold them back for a while.

@RodgerEddy Elon Musk once laughed at BYD for making crappy cars. He's not laughing anymore woth them breathing down his neck. In fact he has to eat humble pie and admit he was wrong. Now he has rely on them for their blade batteries. So don't be another Elon Musk
