Instead of being stalled by politics, endless beaucracy, rent seekers , special interest groups, NGOs etc. One example is the California HSR. 15 years in the planning and building and billions spent and not a single track laid till now. This one single line going to cost the taxpayers US128 billion dollars and expected to be completed by 2030. The same with the UK H2 project. Cost escalated to £ 180 billion and could take till 2040 to complete. The government is threatening to shelf the northern part of the route due to ballooning cost. Defeating the whole idea of connecting the north to the south of the country. And of course the most prominent example is Biden's grand build back better proposal. He is nearing the end of his term. Are there any mega infrastructure built under his administration? Better roads, bridges and railways perhaps?
