They are gonna eventually dominate South America as well since BYD is the best selling brand in Brazil. Proof is always in the pudding, not some dramatic video on YT. Even Tesla knows BYD and Catl make the safest batteries since they are using them.

People ont use it as they cannot afford the fare and flying is faster. I have been to Beijing and they need to move their administrative centre elsewhere. The congestion is really bad despite their massive metro system. Too many people living there. Need to siphon some out of the city limits.
