  1. The entire world wants China to make all kinds of stuff. So they gladly outsourced their pollution problems to them. You should be thankful China is doing just that to satisfy your wants/ needs while at the same time trying very hard to replace their dirty coal plants with renewables. They are doing a sterling job with little or no help from the rest.

  2. As someone who has been there recently, the improvement in both cities air quality has been remarkable. Especially in Shenzhen where a smoggy day is an exception. Largely due to their fully electrified public transport systems and high adoption of electric vehicles, compared with other Chinese cities.For Beijing, there are a lot more good days than bad. The bad days are usually during winter because more coal is burned for heating purposes and changes in weather patterns. The last winter wasn't bad at all. Great progress.
