Having a regular job in China,especially Xinjiang is termed as forced labour. Iyghers are not allowed to work in any industry except maybe making their own handicrafts and food for sale to tourists. This maybe acceptable as not forced, by western governments.

@tedmoss You must live in the east to know this. China dominates in industries like evs, renewable energy electronics,steel, and biomedical because they are super efficient.

China is an energy storage powerhouse as well. As of 31st March, their storage capacity is around 35.3 gigawatts, second to US. They are expanding their capacity rapidly this year, especially in the north west.

For now until renewables can catch up. And they are catching up pretty fast. They are the runaway leader in installing and generating green energy.
