Not true at all. There are two nuclear power stations about 40km from Shenzhen. The Daya Bay and Lingao Power station that provide clean energy not only to Shenzhen and Guangzhou but also supply almost 80% of HongKong energy needs. As for the rest of China, it will be a matter of time before renewables overtake fossil fuel as their main energy source. Carbon neutral emission is targeted to reach by 2060. China is the largest green energy producer in the world. They have 55 nuclear power stations in operation with another 25 under construction. Another 70 under planning stage. A little research before commenting is highly recommended.

For now. Not in the future. They are already the largest producer of green energy from wind, solar, hydro, and nuclear. More than the rest of the world combined. They have targeted 2060 to be carbon neutral.
