He reaffirmed the importance of China as his manufacturing hub as well as consumer market. 90% of Apple products are still made in China. He was part of an American delegation of corporate CEOs attending the China Development Forum. They met with President Xi. It appears not everyone is leaving like you said.

  15. If the GDP is man made since way back in 2007, explain how in the world did they manage to develop and compete toe to toe with US in almost every industry. I have been to China on many occasions. A picture is worth a thousand words. Seeing is believing. Most China experts do not speak the language or have ever been to China. Why do you think all their predictions of China imminent collapse since the nineties, have fallen flat on their faces. They dont know what they are talking. They sound impressive like this gentleman. That's all.

  23. Nah. Made in Germany quality with German prices. Their evs are an absolute disaster. Like that recent mega fire caused by a Mercedes ev in a basement in SKorea that destroyed 140 cars parked there. SKoreans are now hesitant to transit to ev. Evs have been around here for 2 years now. I have seen two fires so far and both involved German brands. A Mercedes EQS and BMW i8. Both top luxury cars.

Why fo you think the VW has invested a billion dollars in setting up an ev research and development center in Anhui China, rather than back home. German luxury car makers survival depends on whether they can hang on to their biggest market China.

What the Chinese did was to take over the management of the port to improve its performance. They did just that with the Greek port of Piraeus. It was about to go under before the Chinese stepped in and took over the management. It is now one of the busiest port in the Mediterranean region. A real success story. If the west do not appreciate what the Chinese are doing, then why don't they come in and put their money where their mouth is. Come and help develop the African countries. Build up their critical infrastructure so they can develop and bring prosperity to their people. Not just sell their pricey weapons

About 26 million plus cars were sold there which exceeded the combined total of car sales in US and EU. Meanwhile millions of Chinese enjoyed their recent Spring festival by vacationing abroad. Don't sound too bad.

Did you not see tgr number of corporate CEOs who tagged along with Scholz and Marcon during their visit to Beijing. Europe needs the Chinese market as much as China needs through European markets.
