  1. China is the largest trading partner of Asean. Bilateral trade total USD975 bilion in 2022. In fact Asean has surpassed US as China no 1 trading partner. Some of Asean countries may have some SCS disputes with China but these do not get in the way of business. Asean leaders are pragmatic. China is their neighbor not EU or US.
