It's simple: we don't have the money! I am driving a 23 year old Pontiac Vibe right now just to afford to eat!

Interesting timing on this video... I hear it's really an explosive topic....

R.I.P. to some of the most iconic models that ever existed. It's a sad end to a century long tale of Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler.

Pay $80,000 to get a truck that engine will blow up instantly. What a deal!

and just like that, the bottom of the new car market is $30,000.... BEFORE taxes. You're looking at $40,000 for anything you might actually want. WHAT A JOKE. I'll never drive a new car again.

LMAO a $90,000 suburban or food? Really? Yeah, THAT's why they're not selling.

3 years ago I found a 2003 Pontiac Vibe for $1,400 private sale and 2 years ago I found a 1995 7.3 F250 for $5,000 also private sale. Always be on the lookout for sale signs in yards and craigslist. Skip the dealers.

LOL you're assuming cheap people buy new cars. We don't.
7
Why would anybody buy a $50k truck you can't do any actual work with, with a four banger, and when there are so many other trucks flooded the market?
7
@HiPlains1 so Becky from the suburbs can have her WRANGLER.... ugh

They killed the manual Versa. Literally the only cheap car left. I thought about buying one but I can't justify spending any large sum of money right now.

I drive a 22 year old Pontiac Vibe and I bought it for $1,400. It has no AC. It's pretty miserable. Insurance is $250 for six months, and I have two OVIs on my record. It gets 32 miles per gallon. I really want a new vehicle, but I want a truck and I can't justify financing $40,000.

lol until the banks stop lending. Whoops!

You must live in the midwest then, maybe Ohio. All I see around here is "affluent" people in their Jeeps.

At this point NEVER pay extra on that mortgage. You're literally making more money in the bank.

@brokeboy87 yeah but Oregon is a failed communist state

The whole "car interest tax write off thing" is absolutely BONKERS policy. I hope to god he doesn't do that one. I voted Trump, and I'm a huge Trumper, but we do not need more free gimmie-dats for suburban white women. That's who gets new cars.

@slomotrainwreck ah, yeah after five years it dropped to $250 for six months. Good price, honestly.
