The problem for these products has always been price. They're double the price of other similar fake meats, and considerably more expensive than meat. I knew as soon as they came out that they'd fail because of price. Meantime, if you want to help the planet (and your budget) but want to keep eating meat, do what I've always done. Cut ground beef with finely chopped zucchini, grated carrot, finely chopped red cabbage, and/or brown lentils. I make a mix which is only a third beef. Still tastes beefy, but is very cheap and quite healthy. Makes great burgers and meatballs (with seasonings and an egg to bind). Freezes well.
