@multifoco09 What are you doing about the world's problems - besides thinking about them? The very best thing the average person can do to ease global poverty, is focus on their own neighborhood. Don't travel, don't support global corporations, and mind your own business. If we all did that, the world would have far fewer problems.

It's difficult to understand anyone who's interested in preparedness, who doesn't have a wood burner. Wood burning stove being by far the best, since it heats the home, cooks your food, bakes your bread, and can be fitted with a water jacket to heat your water for bathing etc. It should be the first thing any "prepper" buys.
