Not to dismiss the evil in any way ... that house and that neighborhood are soooo wrong. The house is freaking gargantuan, and is about as stylish as a 1990's nursing home. And the neighbourhood is apparently allergic to trees. Anyone who'd actually WANT to live in such a house, in such a place, has to be dodgy in some way.
