  1.  @thatonedog819  Surely you don't think they were out doing office jobs? We're talking about 250 years ago. Women did work around the house all day. Growing a kitchen garden (vegetables/fruit etc), raising chickens, cooking, cleaning, milking, making cheese and butter, perhaps helping out with 'man' work on the homestead, raising children, etc etc. They were STILL being housewives, because they were working at home for the family, rather employed for money.

  6.  @blacky_Ninja  What good reasons are they? Children do better raised by the mother, because the mother has the strongest nurture/protect instincts. It's all very natural.
