  1. Contrary to the apparently common belief that no water in lungs means he was murdered ... it absolutely can be accidental, with no water in lungs. It's called dry drowning. As for the removal of boots/pants etc, paradoxic undressing happens in some cases of hypothermia, and hypothermia can happen at relatively high temperatures - it doesn't have to be winter. Also, hypothermia is more likely in an intoxicated person, because they don't feel cold until it's too late. At that point they do things like remove clothes (and studies show that they almost always take their shoes off first, then their pants), and even attempt to enter rivers etc to 'cool off'. I think this kid died accidentally, as a direct result of his intoxication. Unfortunately this mode of demise is more common than it should be. Have a look at how many young intoxicated males have gone into rivers etc. And some were indeed, dry drownings (meaning the person was semi or unconscious when they went in). Hopefully it becomes a learning moment for young people.
