Cops profile for a reason. They don't have the time or resources to consider personal backstories. They can only work with likelihoods. They do the same thing where I live, and it's white people they "target". That's because here, white people do more crime than non-white people. It has NOTHING to do with racism.

@rikusoconnor118 I'm not commenting on this particular situation. Bad policing methods might be at play in regards to this particular officer .. that's not relevant. This is about the REQUIREMENT of law enforcement to profile. We might not like it, but it's what they have to do to do their damned job. There aren't enough officers on the planet to carefully consider every last little personal attribute of a person of interest. The very idea that they could do that, is absurd. You either want police or you don't. If you do, then you have to make peace with the fact that they're going to profile. They don't personally give a shit what colour your skin is - they care that you're from a demographic more prone to crime in location A, B, or C. I'm guessing you wouldn't think it's racist if you saw the cops where I live, 'harrassing' groups of white kids at the mall etc ... am I right?

@izqwiz1746 I live in a part of the world where whites are profiled, so I see reality ... not my own prejudices. And no, I'm not in law enforcement. And I'm not white.
