I work in an old hospital .. a publicly funded old hospital .. and if someone in the main lobby so much as trips on a step or looks like they might faint, the crash team comes running from the ER, and they're usually there within 60 seconds. And that's after half a dozen passing doctors and nurses have already gone to the person's aid. It's our job, FFS. There are no excuses for such a horrifying lack of rapid response from staff in that place. And the word horrifying doesn't go far enough to describe such clear disinterest in human lives. Those people are in the wrong business. They need to be in marketing or something. Anything which doesn't require a soul. That was truly brutal to watch.
